Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Atef Al Nadaf, the Syrian Private University organized the ninth graduation ceremony 2016/2017 on Tuesday 19/9/2017 at Dar Al Assad for Culture and Arts (Opera House). It was held in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Atef Al Nadaf, Dr. Boutros Miyala, Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Private Universities Affairs, Prof. Nazeer Ibrahim, President of the University, Dr. Bihas Al-Waqaf, Member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Director of the University, and Mrs. Darin Sulaiman, Member of the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students and the Head of the Office of Private Education and Informatics, in addition to Prof. Mohammed Riyad Al-Ghazi, Vice-President of the University, a number of presidents of private universities, the deans of faculties, faculty members, Mr. Waseem Gharzeddin, the head of the university's student union, the directors of the central administrations and a number of the university staff as well as the graduates’ families.

The ceremony began with the entrance of the graduates to the main hall, standing a minute of silence in the honor of martyrs and reciting the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic. Then, the graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Naim Al-Homsi, delivered the speech of the graduates, while Mr. Waseem Gharazuddin delivered the speech of the head of the Student Union in which he, on behalf of the National Union of Syrian Students, congratulated all graduates. After that, Prof. Nazeer Ibrahim delivered a speech through which he expressed his sincere congratulations to all graduates and their families on the success they had achieved in the difficult circumstances of our beloved country and wished them every success in their professional and academic careers. He also noted that the university would keep in touch with all graduates through the announcement of the establishment of a club for graduates at the university. He stressed that this club would provide distinguished services to all graduates and would be the link between the university and its graduates. Also, he said that the university is ready to provide all services and support for this club to achieve the desired benefit. After that, Prof. Riyad Al-Ghazi participated in performing the graduation oath with all graduates. Graduates were then honored and graduation certificates were distributed. After the completion of the distribution of certificates, Prof. Nazeer Ibrahim delivered the shield of the University to the Minister of Higher Education and thanked him for his sponsorship and his attendance. Then, a number of photos of the members of the University Council and the Board of Trustees was taken with the graduates. After that, the artist Linda Bitar and her band led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah presented a series of distinguished songs which brought joy and pleasure to the hearts of everyone and with which the graduates and the audience greatly interacted. At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Nazeer Ibrahim announced the graduation of the ninth batch of students to start the ceremony by the graduates throwing their hats off.

The University administration congratulates all graduates and wishes them success in their professional and scientific careers. It also thanks all those who contributed in organizing the ceremony, in particular the management of Syriatel Company for their continuous cooperation and the colleagues in the Students' Union for their outstanding efforts as well as the university staff who contributed in the success of this ceremony.
