The 8th Student Scientific Research Competition was held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. The competition was organized jointly by the University of Damascus and the Syrian Private University. Twenty-six students from 5 public and private universities participated in the competition. They presented 18 scientific papers, Rehabilitation and fixed dental prostheses and pediatric dentistry as well as oral surgery and endodontics.
The research was divided into three universities from Damascus University, four from Tishreen University, six from the Syrian Private University, three from Kalamoon University and two from the International University.
The competition was opened in the presence of the President of Damascus University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Al-Kurdi, the President of the Syrian Private University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sheikh Issa, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University, Prof. Razan Khattab, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Syrian Private University, Dr. Osama Ibrahim and a group of professors. And dental students from several private and government universities.
The participating researches were presented by the students. The Syrian Private University achieved the first and second rank while the participating researches from the University of Kalamoun and the International University ranked third
