The Syrian Private University opened the First International Conference on Cosmetic oral and maxillofacial surgery  under the auspices of the Syrian Dental Association in cooperation with Al Najah Medical Equipment Company on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Dar Al Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus, Syria. Prof. Fadia Deeb, President of Damascus University, Prof. Mohammad Maher Qabakibi, the President of the Al-sham Private University Prof. Yasser Houriya,  the President of the Syrian Private University Dr. Nazir Ibrahim and Vice President of the Syrian Private University Dr. Mazen Al-Ghazzi, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, the President of the Conference Dr. Mazen Zinati, the representatives of public and private universities, the deans of colleges and a large group of lecturers, specialists and students of dental faculties- all attended the conference .

The was conference launched under the slogan "Leadership and excellence to make Syria a global center for dentistry" with the participation of 9 countries and 20 international lecturers. The conference includes 35 lectures in the fields of dentistry, Cosmetic  oral and maxillofacial surgery and a series of specialized training courses in this field.
