Syrian Private University is pleased to announce a new and exciting course on scientific research and publishing in medical science.

·         The course is open to students of all medical faculties: medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.

·         Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and capabilities in the principles and practice of research, scientific writing, and presentation skills.

·         The course is practical and workshop-based and will require the student’s full attendance and dedication throughout the course.

·         Students who successfully finish the course will be granted a certificate from the university.

·         They will also have the opportunity to take part in original research leading to publication in international journals or conferences.

·         The course will take place during weeks 5 to 15 of Semester 1, 2017-18.

·         The workshops will be supervised by Dr. Lama Aljabban and Prof. Dr Nazir Ibrahim.

·         At the end of the Academic Year, students will be able to present their work in a Conference of Medical Research organized by the university.

·         To qualify for registration in this course, you should:

1.      Be a student of medicine, dentistry, or pharmacy at Syrian Private University.

2.      Have successfully finished year 4 of your studies.

3.      Have a GPA no less than 2.5.

4.      Have very good command of reading and writing in English.

5.      Complete and submit the accompanied registration form by Wednesday 11 October  2017
