General Information

Description

- Provide a formal approach to the concepts of economy, and cover the most important economic laws and how to apply them in the present world and our daily lives.

- Focus on macroeconomic analysis, GDP and output, employment, price level, inflation, money, state budget and balance of payments, public debt, and interest rates.

- Explain the concept and objectives of macroeconomic policies and the role of the state in economic activity, macroeconomic variables (GDP, domestic and national income) and its basic components, the fundamentals of macroeconomic analysis and the interpretation of the behavior of different economic sectors.

Expectations and Goals

1- The student's definition of macroeconomics and its relation to microeconomics

2. Providing students with the skills of macroeconomic analysis, basic knowledge in economic terms, and theories of the contemporary economy

3 - deepen the student 's knowledge of concepts, variables and macroeconomic phenomena and the fundamentals of macroeconomic analysis

4 - accustom the student to the collective work through the study of realistic cases of the Syrian economy
