The participation of the Syrian Private University, represented by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ibrahim, in the scientific symposium organized by the General Authority of Damascus Hospital entitled (Principles of evidence-based medicine and the methodology of scientific research). The symposium was attended by the Director General of the General Authority of Damascus Hospital, the Dean of the faculty of Medicine, members of the teaching staff, a group of resident doctors in the hospital and a number of college students.

The President of the University gave two lectures on evidence-based medicine and how to read a scientific article, followed by a lecture by Professor Dr. Bayan Al-Sayed (a member at the faculty of medicine) on supervisory studies. In conclusion, Dr. Nawras Al-Halabi (graduate from the Faculty of Medicine - Syrian Private University) gave a lecture on medical information sources.
