A reception and welcome ceremony for new students at the Faculty of Medicine for the

academic year 2019-2020

 

The Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students Branch,

organized a reception and a welcome ceremony for new students for the academic year

2020/2019, on Monday 23/12/2019 in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine,

Prof. Nizar Daher, professors, vice dean of the college, members of the educational and

administrative staff in the college and colleagues in the National Union of Syrian Students

branch and a large group of new students at the college.

The ceremony started with a minute of silence on the souls of our righteous martyrs and the

national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic, followed by a video on the organization of the

National Union of Syrian Students, after which colleague Mamdouh Al-Dali, the head of the

administrative body at the college, gave a speech in which he welcomed the new students and

introduced the work of the administrative body in the college and its role in helping Students,

then the dean of the college gave a speech explaining the details of the credit and credit hours

system in the college and he introduced the department heads and faculty members, then Prof.

Kamal Hamasneh spoke about the method of calculating the GPA and how to apply for the final

exam, followed by the explanation of Prof. Louay Nahas on academic warnings and exclusions

and how to avoid them.

The meeting ended with a set of entertaining activities.
