Description

 

Orthodontics 2 course is a completion of the Orthodontics 1 course. This course focuses on the therapeutic aspects by highlighting the main principles of orthodontic treatment and planning for them, the different cases of malocclusion, the different therapeutic options for each, the factors leading to the selection of any of them, the retention of the orthodontic treatment results and the most important complications of orthodontic treatment.

 

Expectations and Goals

The student should

1-        be familiar with diagnostic records and planning for orthodontic treatment.

2-        have knowledge about clinical, radiological and occlusal signs of each class of malocclusion.

3-        be able to distinguish the proper treatment plan according to patient's age, severity grade and combined problems.

4-        know the suitable therapeutic appliances for different malocclusion cases.

5-        have knowledge about the potential complications of orthodontic treatment.
