The Faculty of Petroleum Engineering at the Syrian Private University held a lecture delivered by Prof. Amer Ghobra entitled "Use of Geochemical Methods in Petroleum Exploration". On Saturday, 27/2/2016 at the headquarters of the temporary college Institute of Martyr Basil Assad.

The lecture dealt with the importance of geochemistry in the exploration of petroleum hydrocarbons and geochemical analysis techniques and how to benefit from the results of these analyzes in the exploration process in addition to the case study and practical practice of using the results of analysis in gas chromatography in petroleum studies.
