A scientific day for the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Syrian Private university

Under the patronage of the President of the Syrian Private University Prof. Nazir Ibrahim, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a scientific day on "The latest developments in pharmaceutical sciences - biopharmaceuticals" on Sunday 14/04/2019 at the Armitage Hotel. In the presence of Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Riyad Al-Ghazi, and the Advisor to the President of the University for Technical Affairs, Prof. Mokhtar Farhan, the deans of the faculties, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Adel Nofal, the deputies of the participated pharmaceutical companies, in addition to the Arab Center for Arabization, Translation, co-authoring and publishing contributed in the book exhibition , college students and many senior professors and pharmacists involved and interested in the topic of the symposium.

The meeting was opened with a minute of silence on the souls of Syria's righteous martyrs and then playing the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic followed by the one of the Syrian Private University. The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Adel Nofal, spoke about the importance of this meeting and called on all students to attend these symposiums to take advantage of the latest of Research and science in medical fields. The President of the University, Prof.  Nazir Ibrahim delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and talked about the most important achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy in several fields, including the unified national exam, and emphasized the steps taken by the university to ensure the continuity of excellence of all its faculties in all fields.

 After that, the scientific day began with a tour on the medical exhibition and the book fair, followed by a series of lectures delivered by the professors and pharmacists from the sponsoring companies, during which the lecturers presented the latest research findings and targeted drugs for tumor receptors,and the turning point on Diabetes and other drugs used in the treatment of psoriasis. The meeting concluded with certificates of appreciation to lecturers and professors Jamila Hessian and Magda Al-Jokhi for their efforts in the College and the top students of all years in the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019. student Sofia Aakub was honored for obtaining the first place in the unified national exam - March session. The honoring ceremony ended with the National Union of Syrian Students by honoring colleague Mohammed Yawar Ismail - Chairman of the Administrative Authority in the College of Pharmacy.
