The Faculty of Dentistry at the Syrian Private University, in coordination with the Directorate of Public Relations and Marketing, held the second student scientific research competition at the Faculty of Dentistry on Saturday 10 May 2014 at 10 am in the Institute of Martyr Bassel Al Assad Institute. Ibrahim and a number of professors from the Syrian Private University and the University of Kalamoon and also a large number of students and some parents of students participating in the competition.
9 scientific researches were submitted to this competition, in which 12 students from the second, third, fourth and fifth years participated. 11 of them were students of the Syrian University and one student from Al-Kalamoon University participated.
The research was supervised by the following professors: Dr. Osama Ibrahim, Dr. Siham Sayes, Dr. Talal Nahlawi, Dr. Zafin Qara Bayt, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalak, Dr. Jana Al-Salem, a. Dr. Awad Danan, Prof. Dr. Suad Abboud, Lotfi Qusaybati.

The research topics were divided into the following specialties: dental diseases, dentistry, dental hygiene, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery.
The competition was sponsored by Al-Nashawi Brothers Dental Supplies Company and presented 3 gifts to the first winners (automatic root canal preparation device, peak setting device, ultrasonic pressing machine). The winners were ranked as follows:
The attendees expressed the importance of this outstanding scientific event and promised the Deanship of the Faculty of Dentistry to continue these scientific events and developed and thanked all those who contributed to the success of this scientific student demonstration.
