The Engineering Colleges and the College of Business Administration in cooperation with the Directorate of Public Relations and Marketing and the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students at the University, held a welcome meeting for new students for the 2015-2016 academic year.
The meeting started with a welcome speech from the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sheikh Issa, to the students and their families, and congratulated them on their choice of the Syrian Private University, stressing the importance of commitment to attendance and lectures. He encouraged them to make an effort to achieve excellence in their university life.
Dean of the College of Petroleum Engineering and Prof. Bassil Al-Khouri, Dean of the College of Business Administration who welcomed their students and expressed in their valuable words their interest in providing all support to them so that they can succeed in Scientific achievement.
In his turn, the Vice President for Administration and Students, Dr. Marwan Al-Hajji welcomed the new students joining the family of the Syrian Private University, encouraging them to take care of their academic achievements. He stressed the need to adhere to administrative regulations and the importance of visiting the university's website and its official website on Facebook. And decisions that concern the student during his university life.
Dr. Ali Skaf then presented a summary of the university's credit hours system and the system of assessments and examinations followed by the definition of students in the heads of departments and administrators in each faculty.
The new students were also introduced to the National Union of Syrian Students and their role in the universities through a video presentation on this and a speech by the student Akram Lazqani, head of the administrative faculty at the Faculty of Computer Engineering to conclude the meeting with musical voices added a distinctive artistic touch.
