The Syrian Private University, represented by the temporarily assigned President of the University Professor Dr. Muhammad Riyadh Al-Ghazi, signed a scientific and academic cooperation agreement with Damascus Health Directorate represented by Dr. Muhammad Samer Shahrour, Director of Damascus Health, on Wednesday the 16th of December, 2020. The meeting was held at the University Presidency Office with the presence of the university's Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Vice Dean's, Dr. Bahjat Akroush, the Director of the President's Office, and from Damascus Health Directorate attended Mrs. Associate Director for Scientific Affairs and the Assistant Director for Administrative Affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the University welcomed the Director of Damascus Health and all the attendees; he wished that this agreement would be a continuation of fruitful and constructive cooperation that would achieve the interests of both parties and serve the community. He also stressed the university's keenness to develop joint work with Damascus Health Directorate the related hospitals in a way that cooperates in developing the quality of the of joint medical scientific research. In his turn, Dr. Muhammad Samer Shahrour stressed Damascus Health Directorate's keenness to support students and provide all necessary available capabilities to make joint cooperation with educational institutions more efficient by developing clinical training work and activating the publication of joint medical scientific research between Health Directorate and its related centers with the Syrian Private University and its scientific researchers. The meeting also stressed the importance of activating joint scientific seminars to ensure the exchange of scientific and academic experiences and making them available to university students in order to elevate the profession of medicine and secure the needs of patients. At the end of the meeting, the agreement was signed and memorial photos were taken.
