Syrian Private University holds a seminar on academic guidance

Syrian Private University held a seminar entitled "Academic Guidance" on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sheikh Issa, his deputies, assistants, deans of the colleges and their deputies and all members of the teaching staff at the university.

The seminar opened with a speech by the Rector, where he spoke about the importance of academic guidance in guiding the student, guiding him and helping him to understand the study plans, internal regulations, systems and examinations to know the mechanism of success, graduation and graduation requirements. Students should be guided by academic advisors to overcome their weaknesses and pursue their academic achievements so that they can graduate in degrees High, not to be exposed to dismissal from the university.

Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sheikh Issa spoke about the system of credit hours and the difference between them and the quarterly system and the need to understand all the laws related to the system of credit hours and apply them in the best way that the Syrian Private University has adopted this academic system, which also determines the cases where the student is given academic warnings. He stressed that the success of any educational institution is reflected in its commitment to the decisions and regulations established by the Ministry of Higher Education

In conclusion, the professors expressed the importance of this seminar in clarifying and consolidating the concept of academic guidance, the system of credit hours and all the related laws and regulations which help the academic advisor to play the important role entrusted to him in directing the student and academic sponsorship and guidance to achieve his interest and help him to obtain his university degree through the correct understanding of plans And the requirements for graduation
