General Information

Description

this course helps students to understand the nature and behavior of the gas in the carrier layers, and the measurements and calculations of the various indicators of the layer. The course will discuss the physical and chemical properties of the natural gases. it explained the stages of the gas fields investment and the mechanism of change of pressure in the gas layer during the investment and after the closing of the wells, explaining in detail  distribution systems of the well net and its features, And it declare The proprieties of related and unrelated layers investment in a gasodynamic way. also the methods of wells testing will be studied, The physical balance method will be displayed in the recovery calculation.

Expectations and Goals

A maximum of 5 goals

1-  inform the student about  the gas reservoirs in general.

2. To introduce the student to the physical and chemical properties of natural gas.

3- Introducing the student to the stages of investment of gas reservoirs.

4- To introduce the student to the subject of research wells, importance and method of conducting, in addition to the way to address the results.

5 –Inform the student about  the method of calculating the reserve based on the method of material budget.
