General Information

Description

we offer to students in Reservoir engineering -1 what will help them to understand the basic processes that occur in the oil layers. The course will discuss the basic concepts of development and the influencing forces in the layer. The concept of micro and macro heterogeneity in oil reservoirs will be clarified and the possibility of estimating the heterogeneity can be explained. Hydrodynamic methods in wells study will be exposed with all their aspects, in terms of their mechanism and method of measurement and processing of data to calculate the different indicators of the layer. Different displacement methods will be introduced to support Reservoir pressure and increase the Recovery factor of the oil Reservoir, as well as ways to convert reservoir shapes into regular forms to facilitate calculations. The calculation method will be presented to estimate the reserve in a material balance method and estimate the other indicators of the produced layer as the oil Recovery factor.

Expectations and Goals

The course aims at providing students with knowledge by clarifying the following:

1- Basic operations in the oil Reservoir.

2 - Powers that influence the oil layers.

3 - Hydrodynamic methods for wells Study.

4 - different ways to displacement oil from the layers.

5- Calculation method for estimating the oil reserves by material balance method.
