The Syrian Private University and the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine organized under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Nazir Ibrahim a training course entitled (Basics of automatic ventilation) for the sixth year students and a group of graduates and supervisors in hospitals, on Wednesday and Thursday 22-23 / 4/2020 proceeding the approach of the SPU during the current circumstances and the risks of the spread of Covid-19 by preparing and training its students and graduates to be effective medical cadres when necessary.
The course was divided into two parts: (a theoretical part and practical training on automatic ventilation devices at the university hospital). The theoretical part was presented by Prof. Najwa Al-Rakmani and Prof. Hussam Bardan who also supervised in their turns the practical part, which was presented by a group of instructors from the faculty members at the college.
 At the end of the course, the participating students submitted an OSCI test to evaluate the information they obtained, and those who will pass shall complete their advanced practical training on automatic ventilation devices in a number of hospitals in the city of Damascus during the next period.

Those who will complete the required hands-on training will be given a training document on the use of medical ventilators, and they will be ready to work in health centers in the country if the need arises.
