General Information

Description:

The "essentials of Financial Management" course consists of many topics concerning planning, acquiring, allocating funds by businesses. It covers  essentially  the following:  

1-           Introduction to Financial Mangement (Concepts)

2-           Financial statements

3-           Introduction to valuation: time value of money

4-           Risk and return

5-           Debt and stock Valaution

Expectations and Goals

By the end of this course, students should have familiarity with the basic types of financial decisions related to funding and investment choices. This course presents a quick review of how to standardize a financial statement and how to compute and interpret some key ratios. In addition, the third and fourth parts help students in understanding what is the concept of present value of the cash flow and so how to calculate the real return on an investment. The fifth part aims to make students more in touch with different technics of debt instruments and stock valuation.
