General Information

Description

-    Classification of drugs according to homogenize groups or subgroups so enable the student to deliver the molecular formula , pharmacological actions and uses.

-    Chemical structure, Functional group for drug groups or lead compounds and the synthesis of some drugs.

-    Compendial Physicochemical characteristic, Identification, assay of drugs by applying chemical and instrumental analysis.

-    Pharmacological effects and adverse adverse and daily doses for principal drugs.

-    Studying Structure-Activity relationships of drug group or certain drugs .

Expectations and Goals

1-             enable the student to deliver the molecular formula , pharmacological actions and uses from the above classification.

2-             enable the student to deduct the uses of any drug from the previous knowledge of its pharmacological group.

3-             enable the student to practice the identification .

4-             enable the student to practice the assay.

5-             enable the students to use their theoretical and practical knowledge in drug design and drug syntheses and manufacturing of dosage form.
