General Information

Description

1-    Study the basic concepts of solid pharmaceutical ingredients, crystalline forms and their characteristics

2-  Study the pharmaceutical and technological properties of pharmaceutical ingredients for solid pharmaceutical forms …

3-  Studying the specific pharmaceutical operations that leads to solid pharmaceutical forms  .

4-  Studying  the structures and formulation of solid pharmaceutical forms : Powders ,Granules, capsules and Tablets,

5-Studying  the structures and formulation of Modified  , Extended  and Delayed release  solid dosage forms.

 

Expectations and Goals

1-  Understanding the formulation and composition of solid pharmaceutical forms and the conclusion of factors affecting the design of formulas.

2-    Understanding  the general idea of ​​particles ,  angle of repose , porosity , the size of packaging and density, and its impact on pharmaceutical operations.

3-   Understand the pharmaceutical operations used to prepare different types of solid dosage forms (Particle size reduction, sieving and powder mixing, extrusion, drying, pressing and coating)

4-  Understand the methods of    preparing   different   pharmaceutical  forms.

5-  . knowledge and description of solid pharmaceutical forms composition ,quality control , formulation ,   stability  and applications
