General Information

Description

The course includes the basic and fundamentals in organic chemistry by understanding of the definitions, terms and general physical and chemical properties of the organic chemical compounds.

 Expectations and Goals

This course aims to provide the student with the following:

1 - Study of the concepts and basics of organic chemistry, which are the basis for the study of pharmacy.

2 - Study of the basic and fundamentals in organic chemistry by understanding the definitions and terms and the physical and chemical properties of organic chemical compounds.

3 - Study of the stereochemistry of organic compounds and their effects on physical and biological properties.

4- Study of some functional groups of organic compounds.

5- Study of the general mechanisms of organic reactions (mechanisms of substitutions, eliminations, additions and rearrangement).
