Description:
Molecular biology is one of the branches of genetics, which deals with studying of genetic material in terms of composition, repetition and expression, so enable the student to:
1. knowledge that what is the genetic materialandwhere it isinside the cell and Knowledge of it's structure with some detail and how to carry genetic information .
- Developthe student's abilityto analysis of genetic results.
- Distinguish between different molecular biology techniques that are used to isolate and separate nucleic acids.
- Understand the basic principles of the genetic engineering and its role in the service of humanity.
- Identify to the modern applications of molecular biology and their impact on human life .
Expectation and Goals:
- Giving the studentinformation about the history and the development of molecular genetic science.
-Increase the ability of student to understand the nature andthe structure ofthe genetic materialand how express itself.
- Show how molecular biology is used to answer a wide range of biological questions.
- Understand how molecular’s mechanisms are constructed and regulated so that they can accurately copy, repair, and interpret genomic information.
- Analysis the relationshipbetween genetic scienceand somegenetic diseasesand identifysomegeneticmutations
