General Information
Description
Students are supposed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of many diseases. Besides, the course will provide a framework in diagnosing clinical disorders, changes in laboratory parameters and interpretating the impact of laboratory tests panels in monitoring the course and the prognosis of the disease.
Expectations and Goals
1- The importance and the role of clinical laboratory in health and disease
2- Provide adequate knowledge and background experience in laboratory work, emphasizing on principles of analytical methods for analytes quantification (titration) in some major disorders, especially in blood
3- Providing diagnosis for some disorders upon changes in laboratory results
4- Understanding organ function panels in health and diseases
