The Syrian Private University’s participation in the Central Symposium held to present the results of the results of plasma survey relevant to the spread of Hepatitis B & C among selected inhabitants communities in Syria during 2016

The ministry of health in cooperation with the World Health Organization organized a central symposium on the results of the results of plasma survey relevant to the spread of Hepatitis B & C among selected inhabitants communities in Syria during 2016, on Thursday 15/12/2016 in Dama Rose Hotel in the presence of Deputy Health minister Dr. Ahmad Khlaifawi, representatives of the World Health Organization and the Syrian Private University president Prof. Dr. Nazir Ibrahim. Prof. Dr. Nazir Ibrahim presented the results of the important study done on the spread of Hepatitis B & C among selected inhabitants’ communities in Syria and the results of the relevant plasma survey.

The director of the epidemic and chronic diseases at the Ministry of Health Dr. Ahmad Dmairiyeh delivered a talk in which he indicated that Hepatitis B & C is one of mortality worldwide and is still is endemic in the Arab World with varying degree of spreading from one country to another.

The World Health Organization’s representative Dr.Ghada Hijazi indicated that Hepatitis B & C is real health problem in various countries due to its development to cancer and cirrhosis

The symposium was concluded by scientific discussions and answering the questions of interested attendees.
