A ceremony honoring the first students in the faculty of petroleum engineering.

The faculty of petroleum engineering organized in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students at the Syrian Private University a ceremony to honor the first students in the second semester of the academic year 2015/2016 and a meeting with the new students on Tuesday, 20/12/2016  at the Institute of Martyr Bassel Al-Assad in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Riad Al-Ghazzi, university vice-president for scientific Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Maher Suadeh, the dean of the faculty and a number of teaching staff members and a group of the students of the faculty.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence as a gesture of respect to martyrs souls and the Syrian Arab national anthem. After that, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Riad Al-Ghazzi gave a speech welcoming the new students and urging them to excel during their academic career, and he congratulated the first students in the faculty for their excellence in the last semester.

The dean then gave a welcoming speech to the new students and provided them with some guidance and advice regarding their studies, and he congratulated the outstanding students and wished them more success and progress.

Then the colleague Ali Ibrahim, head of the administrative body at the faculty of petroleum engineering, gave the speech of the National Union of Syrian Students.
Then the ceremony of honoring the first students began in the second semester 2015/2016, and the representatives of the Syrian Oil Company were honored for their cooperation in training the students of the faculty.

The ceremony concluded with a collection of various artistic paragraphs of poetry, drama and singing by the students of the faculty.
