The Syrian Private University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Human Resources Management on Wednesday 12/4/2017 at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nazir Ibrahim, the President of the university, the university vice-presidents, the deans and central directors, and in the presence of Dr. Munir Abbas, Chairman of the Institute of Human Resources Management and a number of members of the directors, this memorandum aimed at guiding and linking research and educational activities of the Syrian Private University with special requirements and needs of the community which included a range of important points that the two parties agreed to cooperate in its implementation such as: organizing of mutual scientific and practical activities and organizing lectures and specialized workshops and professional training courses for university students. It also included the contribution of the Institute of Human Resources Management in organizing field visits for the university students to the Syrian companies and organizations with their various specialties periodically to introduce the students to the followed work mechanisms and adopted in these companies, in addition to the contribution of the institute to help the university students in providing free training opportunities and employment opportunities through communication with the companies and institutions and providing them with the names of university graduates from various disciplines. The two parties also coordinate to organize specialized scientific conferences and special exhibits for job opportunities. In this occasion, Dr. Nazir Ibrahim, the president of the university, stressed the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and efficient Non Governmental Organizations to serve the interests of students, integrate them into the labor market, identify work mechanisms and provide them with skills and the required expertise through the training programs carried out by the university to train students in companies and institutions and qualify them to obtain excellent job opportunities, in addition to helping students in the process of vocational guidance to build a successful professional career,The president stressed the role of NGOs in forming the link between the educational institutions and the business sector. He hoped that this cooperation will achieve the desired objectives by starting to develop implementation plans for the proposed work between the two parties.
