The Faculty of Pharmacy in collaboration with the National Union of Syrian Students at the Syrian Private University (SPU) organized a scientific journey to Shamin Factory for producing medicinal herbs on Thursday 13/7/2017 with the Dean of the College, Dr. Essam Hassan Agha, the Director of the Student Training Office, Dr. Yaman Al-Khouli, and some students. 

The director of the factory, Mr. Samer Qashlak, and the production director, Eng. Moataz Al-Malik, welcomed the visitors. Mr. Al-Malik accompanied the students in an introductory tour in which he explained the mechanism followed in each department. Then, he summarized the stages of preparing a product from importing the raw materials, preparing the product and sterilizing it within the required quality standards to packaging and storing it. After that, he talked about the types of products provided by the factory and the medical interest of each of them. He answered the questions of the students who participated in the work as a direct practical experiment. Also, the factory management and the Student Training Office agreed to train and employ a group of graduates and students graduating in the recent Summer term. At the end of the visit, a number of pictures were taken with the factory staff and some products were provided as gifts for the students participating in this scientific visit.
