The Faculty of Medicine held a scientific symposium entitled: (New horizons in heart failure) on Saturday 23/3/2019 in Laique auditorium in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Riad El Ghazzi, Vice President of the Syrian Private University, representing prof. Nazir Ibrahim- President of the Syrian Private University and the symposium sponsor , Dr. Mohamed Ramez Orfali, Director of Damascus Health; Dr. Youssef Assaad, head of the Damascus branch of the Medical Syndicate; Prof. Nizar Al-Dahir, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and the two Vice-Dean   .

The symposium was characterized by valuable lectures on the axes of heart failure and its complications on different body systems, and heart failure during pregnancy, and all new to manage this disease.

The symposium ended with the lecturers answering the questions of the attendees.
