The Syrian University participated in the SCPC competition for the Higher Institute of Scientific Research and the Syrian Virtual University of Syria in its sixth edition which was held at the Higher Institute for Scientific Research in Damascus on 21 and 22 June 2019 under the supervision of the Excellence and Creativity Authority.  The competition was attended by 23 teams from the Higher Institute, 9 teams from the Syrian Virtual University and one team from the Syrian Private University.

Last Chance-  team of the Syrian Private University of students Mohammed Ammar Aboukalam, Sharif Saleh and Mohammed Ammar Al-Razz of last year's students participated in the specialization of computer and informatics engineering and under the training of Dr. Obai Sondouk.

 The team achieved an excellent position, ranking 16 out of 33 teams after solving 5 out of 13 difficult issues. Each team of three students uses one computer available to the team to optimize as many software and algorithms as possible.  The team also earned the title of Relentless Programmers, one of the four titles given to the competing teams, which expresses the team's unusual insistence on solving an issue ideally but after a number of experiments. 

Thus the team goes to the Syrian software competition and be the first finalist for this season from the Syrian Private University.  The Syrian Final will be held this year in the second half of next September.

 This team will be joined by a number of teams finalists through the private universities competition which will take place on 21 and 22 July 2019 at the University of Kalamoun.
